Jetsetradio.net was basically the grassroots to the site you see now.
but there were problems.
- The administrator was too busy to update anything
- The feel of the website generated alot of drama
- The number of boards was too small. It was hard to talk about what you wanted.
- There was no spam forum, so shit got off topic all the time.
- The mods practically deleted all spam (and yes, one of them is writing this right now).
The community was actually ok at first, but then one of the members left because the members there made him angry with their opinions on a new JSR game. Because things were starting to get wrecked, Grumbler hired pissedbuddha to be a mod, apparently because he considered him to be the most "down to earth" person in the group. When another member saw this, he got very angry because he had been there much longer, and his post count was higher. He got into an arguement with the members about this, so pissedbuddha closed the topic where the arguement was, because there was really nothing more to discuss. The drama supposedly subsided, but then this member spammed the board and deleted his own account.(I'll insert more later) But in the end, It all ended when the mods couldnt control the drama anymore. The main reason that most of the members left was when the administrator, Grumbler, made a rant about people using colored text. Along with that, one of the two mods fully sided with him, making it appear to some of the other members that he was "kissing his ass". Even though this might not have been the case, the alot of the members were enraged, and they all left.
Sometime in January 2008, jetsetradio.net shut down, and has not come back since.

In Skype chat, a former jetsetradio.net member, Silencer789, revealed to the other moderator, Pissedbuddha, that he and a few of the other members had formed up and that Silencer789 had made a new freewebs website for the group. Coincidentally, Pissedbuddha had been working on a new place as well, so he could be in control of the place in an attempt to end the horrible drama hole that was on jetsetradio.net. Now the interesting part is that Silencer had a decent front page, but a crappy host, and text based forums. Pissedbuddha, hadnt made a front page at the time, he had a somewhat decent free host, and he was using Simple Machines Forum as the forums, like jetsetradio.net did. So they combined efforts, and thus spawned jetsetradio.isgreat.org
Jetsetradio.isgreat.org spawned alot less drama, because spam boards were added and there were alot more boards to talk on, but the site tried to remain hidden on the internet away from Grumbler and Garan (the mod who sided with him), so the community was almost completely cut off from new members. Even though the look and feel was better, it still caused a bit of drama, and the admin, pissedbuddha, grew sick of the drama after a month or so, and closed the place down for 3 weeks so he and all the other members could cool down, and also to prepare for Christmas. This move nearly killed the community, and soon the entire community moved anyways, because the site was kind of garbage-ish.
jetsetradio.isgreat.org is still up, but practically everything is broken, due to the mysql server move that jetsetradio.isgreat.org's host, byethost did some time in January/February 2008.
[edit] New Forum With RRcomics
The place was dying, and pissedbuddha had recently been hired to work as an admin at rrcomics, for his online friends, Squeak and Bam. So with permission, he started a new community for jetsetradio as a subplace on the site, because he knew the site was listed on google, unlike the previous one. Just as he set the place up and got some of the members slightly settled in, Bam told him to take it down because it was sucking up bandwidth... even though rrcomix had more than enough bandwidth to support the place, so pissedbuddha moved everyone back to the previous site and deleted the forums.
[edit] Second Forum With RRcomics
After the bandwidth thing was sorted out, Bam let pissedbuddha start another forum there. Pissedbuddha decided to experiment with the look and feel, and decided to use mybb as the forum instead of Simple Machines like all the other sites before it used. The look and feel was alot better, but the theme and forum just didnt suit the community well. There was next to no drama, but the community was small, and still dying. The community was destroyed about 2 weeks after it started. Bam was removing things on the site and accidently deleted our communities forums. He didnt think we'd need our forums storage database with all the posts and stuff, so he deleted it as well, not knowing that that was the only way to restore the damage he had accidentally done.
[edit] Third and Final Forum with RRcomics
After 3 weeks of everyone waiting, Silencer and Yoyo finally convinced Pissedbuddha to get off his lazy ass and rebuild the site, but they helped him with the forum, while he set up the main site. Pissedbuddha once again changed the forum software, this time to phpbb3. Pissedbuddha wanted to keep as much distance as he could from phpbb, because he thought bb2 was horrible, and bb3, was far better, but complicated. But he wanted to experiment with it to see if the board would work out for the community. The experiment was a success, and the community was finally steadily growing again, and there was no need for mods anymore because the drama was gone. But the forum gained a new Mod, asdvj. But after 3 months, the place was abandoned because Bam wouldn't pay for another year (which he ended up doing long after we moved again). The old forum was be moved to the new site, so not many things of value were lost lost.
Bam, being as unusual, and unpredictable as he is, actually kept rrcomix up, but has now abandoned it again... we will never know what will really become of that site.

the forum started out as an exacted copy of the old forum because pissedbuddah got most of the topics and threads saved and imported them into the new forum, although some threads and replays were lost along the way and some people did get a bit dissapointed about it.
after a few weeks the a new board came called requests, it was a board where admins would ask for help form the users this was later merged with feedback. after a while pissedbuddah decided to organize the forum better and created a few new boards and merged others.
pissedbuddah also decided to create a RPG board.
Garan, now Garam, returned, not really caring that he was left ou.t
With a new place, the community grew bigger, and so did the ammount of occasional troublemakers/spammers... and Yoyo was downgraded to a mod, and he did his job well (Rich wrote that, SERIOUSLY).
But the drama from the old days returned, thanks to members like Mystie Kaiska, and pissedbuddha decided it was time for a change.

Pissedbuddha got tired with the look, and also got tired of his nickname, so pissedbuddha changed his name to Rich, and purchased a copy of vbulliten, so he could upgrade the forums. With these new forums he added countless things, such as an arcade, and youtube video support. Also, the main site was removed, and replaced with the forums.
Since alot of new members came in all the time, Rich hired Silentlaws as the websites third mod, the other two being Asdvj and Yoyo.
The site was good, but Rich noticed that the site would be better if the forums werent the homepage, and is now making an uber awesome main site, and the forums will still stay there.
